Mission Campaigns

The first private lunar prospecting campaign.

Government programs will come, and we will win our share. The campaign does not wait for them. Constanellis is architecting a privately flown prospecting campaign to the lunar south pole: characterize the resource, prove the logistics, and return the dataset that prices the lunar economy.

Contract or no contract. We are going either way.

How a private campaign closes

Going anyway is not defiance. It is arithmetic.

A lunar mission funded by one customer does not close. The same mission, flown with a manifest assembled from operators who each need the trip and none of whom can fund it alone, does. That is the whole mechanism, and it is the reason this campaign does not require anyone's permission to begin. We assemble the manifest, fly the standard slots, and take fees. We never buy capacity to resell it.

FIG. 01Manifest aggregation, stated plainly
Single customerBusiness case does not close. This is why nobody has flown one.
Aggregated manifestBusiness case closes on identical hardware. The difference is who is on board, not what is built.
Our positionWe assemble the manifest and operate the flight. Fees, not inventory.
What each rider keepsTheir own results, in full.
What we keepThe calibrated reference that makes every rider's results comparable.

FIG. 02Why the reference is the asset
The campaign returns the dataset. The dataset is the corpus. The lab is how the corpus keeps growing between missions. A test lab is valued on a multiple of its earnings. A referenced dataset and an adopted method are valued on what the industry cannot do without, which is a different category of asset entirely.

The ladder

Two flights. Each one funds and de-risks the next.

PROSPECTOR-0In architecture
Aggregated qualification flight

Fly a shared manifest that no single operator on it could justify alone.

Standard slots, a calibrated instrument suite, and a manifest assembled from operators who each need lunar qualification and none of whom can fund a mission for it. Every participant keeps their own results. We keep the reference: the calibrated measurement chain that made all of those results comparable to each other.

PROSPECTOR-1In architecture
South pole prospecting campaign

Characterize the resource, prove the logistics, return the dataset that prices the lunar economy.

The permanently shadowed floors at the south pole hold the water, and nobody has yet returned a commercial-grade characterization of it. The company that does will hold the reference every later operator plans against. That dataset is the point of the campaign, and it is the asset the campaign leaves behind.

The architecture

This is what the five programs are for.

The portfolio is not a hedge. It is one mission, decomposed into the five things that mission requires, each of which is a real line of business on its own and none of which exists for its own sake.

FORGEQualifies the hardware and holds the calibrated measurement chain.NEXUSHolds the data and watches the corridor the campaign flies through.HERMESFlies the operations: maneuver, rendezvous, and servicing.WIRESCarries the link, from cislunar transit to the surface.ATLASLands the payload, to the meter, at the pole.
Join the campaign

The manifest is open, and it is assembled deliberately.

A manifest is not a mailing list. Every slot is chosen for what it adds to the flight and to the reference it produces. If one of these is you, write to us and tell us what you are building.

Payload holders

You have hardware that needs lunar qualification and no business case that closes on its own. That is the entire premise of the manifest.

Instrument partners

You build measurement hardware that belongs in the suite. We qualify it, fly it, and cite you in the reference.

Primes and integrators

You need a qualification path for a component or a subsystem before it reaches your own critical path.

Operators and agencies

You want the dataset, the corridor awareness, or a slot on a later flight in the ladder.

Skeptics are welcome. So were the people who doubted every campaign that ever mattered.
