Contracts & Compliance Manager (ITAR / DCAA)

Legal & ContractsColoradoNone required$135K–$180K base

Base salary range. Actual offer depends on experience and location. Equity and bonus are additional.

Federal work runs on contracts and compliance done right. You own the full contract lifecycle across FAR and DFARS agreements, subcontracts, and teaming arrangements, and you run the ITAR and DCAA compliance programs a defense supplier gets audited against. Disciplined work that keeps programs on contract while the hardware gets built.

Responsibilities

  • Administer FAR/DFARS-compliant government contracts end to end
  • Run the ITAR compliance program: registration upkeep, technology control plan, training
  • Establish DCAA-ready practices with finance: timekeeping, cost segregation, audit files
  • Review, negotiate, and manage subcontracts and teaming arrangements
  • Support proposal pricing and contractual compliance reviews

Requirements

  • 5+ years federal contracting or compliance in aerospace or defense
  • FAR/DFARS proficiency required; ITAR program experience strongly preferred
  • No clearance required; ability to obtain federal clearance preferred

What the first year looks like

  • Contract files, deliverable trackers, and modification logs an auditor could walk into cold
  • The ITAR program on rails: technology control plan current, training done, renewals never in doubt
  • Subcontract and teaming templates that let business development move at proposal speed

Nice to have, not required

  • DCAA audit or pre-award survey experience
  • SBIR/STTR contract administration familiarity
  • Experience standing up compliance at a small company, not only maintaining it at a large one
