Quality / Mission Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities
- Build and run the quality management system on an AS9100 pathway
- Own first-article inspection, material traceability, and certificate-of-conformance flow
- Disposition non-conformances and drive corrective action
- Run supplier quality and incoming inspection
- Support customer source inspections and audits
Requirements
- 5+ years quality or mission assurance in aerospace or defense hardware
- AS9100 and AS9102 working knowledge; auditor experience a plus
- Eligible for an active U.S. government clearance
What the first year looks like
- The quality management system documented and in daily use on the floor, tracking toward AS9100 readiness
- First-article inspection and conformance flow running on every deliverable without schedule drama
- Supplier quality onboarding that catches problems at receiving, not at integration
Nice to have, not required
- AS9100 internal or lead auditor credential
- Optics or electro-optical hardware inspection experience
- NASA workmanship standard familiarity
